Week 20 – Focus.

Law of Growth –

what we focus on grows.

I am not sure about the rest of you but I have become this crazy generator of ideas of what I can possibly do and would like to do. This would not have been the case six months ago. I would have told  you I could only do “x” since that fits my education, skills and work experience. But now I see so many opportunities…ABUNDANCE…to explore and make a reality it is stunning. I, also, have the ENERGY to pursue those ideas to see if I can make them into a reality. In fact, one of the possibilities I am forging ahead with someone and it’s like it is meant to be. The work together is fluid, dynamic and fun.

The challenge I have now is to stay FOCUSED. It is one thing to be generating ideas and seeing boundless possibilities, but how do these possibilities tie back to my DMP? What am I ultimately trying to achieve – personally, professionally and altruistically?

What would the person I intend to become do next?

I am thankful for my FOCUS point (DMP). It is my compass to guide me along the path. The path is definitely not a straight line, and there a few obstacles along the way to get over and under. Those obstacles are a reminder to step out, out of the comfort zone, in order to continue my growth towards a self-directed thinker. I continue to be amazed by what unfolds as we journey together as this MKMMA family. I say keep up the great work my fellow tribe members and as Mark J likes to say “Believe!”

  1. I absolutely am feeling you here.. the need to FOCUS is absolutely an important skill. I think that is why scheduling is so important. The risk for me is always to become scattered. Thank you for sharing!!!! 🙂

  2. Like you, Natalie, I am wondering who in the world thought it was a good idea to tell us “Be Creative!” and then when we are, bellows at us, “Now Focus on ONE thing!”. LOL

I’m over here like, “Wait! I’m not sure I’m through creating yet – what if I can come up with a better idea?”

Of course, I – for one – could simply go on ‘creating’ forever! So I guess picking a good idea and making THAT one better is the way to go. It’s what I’ve done and I’m looking forward to the adventure!

  3. Interestingly, I’m doing the opposite… I have had a focus from the beginning and I am not opening up to opportunities and different ideas on how to expand my focus. I wasn’t completely aware of it till I read your post. thank you for the awareness!
